Project Overview
Project Name: Santam Sign-In and Home Page Redesign

Project Description
Tasked to redesign the Santam Insurance login and home screens, as well as the ui design library for the screens that are to be redesigned.
Approach
A Systematic and Atomic Design approach was taken. This is due to the main focus of the project being the ui design library rebuild and mockup designs. This process allows for design elements to be built correctly, starting from the smallest components and building upwards.
Project Findings
Doing design libraries takes time. Not only building each element from scratch, but also doing research on how certain elements should look like as well as best practices.
Lessons Learnt
Atomic Design- Really got into the finer details of this design approach and how things should be done agnostically.
The importance of research- Every design decision must be back up by research and numbers. This is to ensure the right design decisions are taken.
Never be scared to ask for help- There were moments in the project I felt lost or out of my depths. If I had reached out for help sooner, the end result would have been even better than it was.
